The most common Email marketing problems and how to solve them

Despite our best efforts, Email campaigns don't always have the results and performance we wanted.

From Email marketing campaigns that don't work, no matter how many changes we make, to campaigns that end up in spam, there are many problems that can ruin email marketing campaigns.

Common Email Marketing Problems

  1. My Emails are sent to Spam
  2. My Open Rates are decreasing
  3. My links are not getting enough clicks
  4. Customers opt out of receiving Emails from us, why?

  1. My Emails are sent to Spam

The success of Email Marketing campaigns depends on the Delivery Rate. Similarly, the sender's reputation, the contact list, the frequency of sending and the content of the email are all factors that affect it.

In other words, it doesn't matter how much content you create if it never reaches the inbox, where visitors are significantly less likely to open it and click on the CTA buttons.

Before reading this article, we recommend that you read our article explaining in more detail, "How to prevent Emails from being considered spam".

  1. My Opening Fees are decreasing

Your Email has 2 Subject Lines, use them - Every time you receive an Email, you see the subject line and then a short preview text in your inbox. This preview text is usually the first sentence of your Email, which helps to give your subscriber an idea of whether or not this Email is of interest.

Track the results of your Email Marketing campaigns - Analysing conversion rates after each send will help you better understand your subscribers' engagement with your business. In this way, your open rates will increase over time, boosting the performance of your digital marketing strategy.

Implement a double opt-in process to confirm interest - Maintaining an active and healthy contact list is the first step to ensuring good open rates. Double opt-in guarantees subscriber interest, as they are only added to your Email list if they confirm their subscription twice, and it also eliminates false or incorrectly typed addresses, helping you achieve a higher open rate.

Make sure you find the best time to send Emails - To find the best day and time to send your Email Marketing campaign to each contact, you need to take individual behaviours into account. Getting the message to your customer (current or potential) at an opportune moment can make the difference to the success of your Email Marketing campaigns.

  1. My links get few clicks

Use responsive email templates - One of the decisive factors in increasing the click-through rate is the use of responsive Emails, i.e. an email is responsive when the reader can view the content on any device without difficulty. Creating a message that will adapt to the device used by your contacts will increase your Click Rate.

Ask for feedback to improve email content - Directly asking subscribers for feedback on the content of your email is a great way of ensuring and understanding the preferences of your audience. This way you can adjust the content of your Email campaigns to the recipients and give users a sense of importance because you care about them.

Insert effective CTAs into your Emails - A Call To Action (CTA) is a button, image or line of text that prompts your visitors, leads and customers to take an action. It's literally a "call to action".

In other words, the CTA is what prompts the user to move on to the next step in your sales funnel.

  1. Why do customers choose not to receive any more emails from us?

Make sure subscribers don't unsubscribe:

  • Too many Emails sent in a short space of time
  • Make sure you send relevant content
