How to interpret the Newsletter Summary
The summary is essential for evaluating the effectiveness of the campaign. In this article we explain what each statistic means.
To access the campaign summary, simply follow these steps:
Email > Campaigns > Select the campaign you want.
Sent
This is the number of Emails sent for the campaign in question.
Delivered
The Delivery Rate is a metric that allows us to see how many Emails reached the final recipient. To calculate the Delivery Rate we use the number of recipients who opened the Email, divided by the number of recipients who received it.
Opens
The Open Rate is a metric that allows us to see the number of people who opened the Email. This metric is fundamental in Email marketing, as it allows us to see whether Email campaigns are attractive enough. To calculate the Open Rate we use the number of people who opened the Email, divided by the number of people who received it.
Clicks
The Click Rate indicates the percentage of clicks obtained on the links in the Email. It reflects the interest generated by the content and the ability to direct traffic to the website in question.
Unsubscribes
The Suppressed Rate consists of invalid Emails or emails that had problems delivering previous emails. We therefore suppress sending and do not send to these contacts in order to improve rates.
Bounces
A bounce is a delivery or rejection error that occurs when an Email is sent. These errors can be defined as Hard Bounce or Soft Bounce.
The occurrence of this error can be permanent or temporary and serves as a metric for the Email contact base, as it shows that it is of poor quality, i.e. out of date.
When the Email is sent, some of the messages are bounced by the recipient's server, generating Bounce, for various reasons:
- the Email address may be invalid or inactive;
- the recipient's inbox may be full;
- the system may detect SPAM or offensive content.
Spam reports
This is the number of subscribers who report the campaign as spam.
Spam is content sent, usually by Email, without the recipient's permission to receive it.
Spam is characterised by: the recipient reporting the Email as spam; advertisements; Emails with attachments containing viruses; scams, Emails with misleading offers; sending too many Emails; Emails with spelling mistakes.
Unsubscribes
Unsubscribing in Email Marketing means removing the Email Address from a company's Contact List, so that you stop receiving content from that brand.
