How to import contacts
In this article, we explain how to import contacts into Closum correctly.
In the video, we show you how to import contacts step by step.
Firstly, go to Contacts in the left-hand menu and click on Import.
Then click on Download template to download the import template (you should choose the .xlsx format or the .csv format) available in the right-hand corner.
Then open the document and fill in the necessary fields according to the contact information you have available.
Below is a table filled in as an example.
Once the document has been completed, upload it to the platform. Click on Select file or drop it here.
Click on Next for the next step.
Then you need to map the columns and put in the fields you want to import, which could be ‘name’, ‘email’ or even other Custom Fields.
The columns you don't want to put in, you can simply put ‘Ignore column’.
fter that, you have to define the Qualification and Tag in the fields indicated.
You also have the option of deciding on the contact's consent.
The last step is to select one of the 3 options available for importing contacts into the platform, depending on what you want.
First option: Import and update only new data (recommended)
When a contact exists, only the new information will be updated.
Second option: Import and rewrite all existing data
When a contact exists, all the data will be rewritten.
Third option: Import only new contacts
If a contact exists, it will not be changed.
Finally, click Import Contacts to finish the import process.
