# How to develop Birthday Automations

A birthday automation is an automated marketing **Email **or **SMS **sent on a customer's birthday.

Birthday Emails need to be friendly, pleasant and warm.

To use this tool, simply go to the Menu, the ‘"**Automations**" option and then "**New Birthday Automation**".
