# Assigning an owner to a contact

To manually assign an owner to an existing contact:

1. Go to Contacts » List or Leads

2. Select one or more contacts to which you want to assign an owner

3. Select the contact you want to associate and click on "Associate".

Then simply choose the owner who will be responsible for the Lead

| To remove an assignment, simply put the Lead "No Association".
